Second-hand smoke from the Daily Bugle isn’t the only thing blowing into Marvel Snap this month. Second Dinner has officially pulled back the curtain on its upcoming season, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Starting 30th June 2026.
Packed to the gills with web-slinging synergetic interactions, a massive roster of new character arrivals, and a brand-new high-stakes event mode, here is your breakdown of what is swinging into the game.
It looks to us like the movement meta is about to be shaken-up with the cards from Brand New Day.
Which is great, because apart from playing a move deck for alliance objectives, it’s just not been exciting. Particularly since they nerfed Human Torch….but let’s not get started. Spider-punk definitely made it interesting again, briefly. But now we’re seeing some new twists on the archetype.
Brand New Day: Spidey and MJ
This season splits its primary spotlight across two major variations of the game’s core progression track.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day (Series 5 — Premium Pass): [2 Cost / 3 Power] — Moveable twice. After this moves to a location, give one of your other cards there +1 Power (even unrevealed ones).
Mary Jane (Series 5 — Super Premium Pass): [2 Cost / 3 Power] — End of Turn: Give each of your cards that moved this turn +1 Power.
Together, these two look ready to breathe immediate life back into traditional and archetype-blending Move decks, capitalising heavily on cheap repositioning for continuous stat scaling.
Maybe Human Torch can make a comeback? We also love having Spider-Man and MJ in a deck, like our Daredevil/Karen Page deck. Plus, it might mean we can see further utility from the current seasons’ Jeff, the baby dolphin?

The Sinister Six & More Join the Fray
Beyond the season pass, a massive payload of Series 5 cards are coming via Seasonal SNAP Packs, alongside a couple of Series 4 rewards tied to limited-time events.
Normally we go for the ones in the pass and those that come from the events. But there’s some really interesting ones in the Brand New Day season. Particularly The Sinister Six.
Series 5 Arrivals (Seasonal SNAP Packs)
- Aunt May [3 Cost / 4 Power]: End of Turn: If you used a Moveable ability, give a Moveable card in your hand -1 Cost and +2 Power.
- Tarantula [3 Cost / 5 Power]: End of Turn: If you have the highest Power among cards in play, give this and 2 cards in your hand +1 Power.
- Boomerang [3 Cost / 3 Power]: When this returns to your hand, randomly steal 4 Power from cards in your opponent’s hand. Activate: Return this to your hand.
- Scorpion: Brand New Day [4 Cost / 5 Power]: Ongoing: Double the Power reductions on all enemy cards. (A terrifying buff for affliction/toxic decks).
- The Sinister Six [6 Cost / 6 Power]: Game Start: The first 6 characters you draw are EVIL! After you play them all, merge them into this and add this to the last one’s location. (0/6)
Sinister Six is going to be really interesting. Are you losing cards at other places? How are you mitigating that on turn 6? A chance to dominate one lane is great, but it it get’s hit with Shang Chi…..that’s a lot of eggs in one basket.
Brand New Day looks to be stirring things up a good bit.

Series 4 Arrivals (Limited-Time Events)
- Tombstone [3 Cost / 4 Power]: On Reveal: Destroy your lowest-Power card at each other location.
- Spider-Sense [2 Cost / 2 Power]: On Reveal: Give your characters here +2 Power. Costs 1 less for each Moveable card you’ve played.
Spider-Sense is going to be an interesting one and we get settled into the Brand New Day season.

New Venues: ESU & The Pizza Place
Two fresh locations are entering the matchmaking pool, completely shifting how players approach the late game and resource management:
- Empire State University: On turn 6, get +2 Energy.
- Pizza Place: Add 2 Pizza Slices to your hand.
- Token Data: Pizza Slice [0 Cost / 1 Power] — On Reveal: Merge this into one of your cards here.

New Limited-Time Event: Hyper Cube Rush
If you’re eager to climb the ladder quickly, Second Dinner is introducing Hyper Cube Rush with the Brand New Day season.
While active, players get a designated pool of 20 bonus cubes. For every match victory earned while this event pool is active, you walk away with double cubes until your bonus stash completely empties out.
Essentially, it serves as a massive buffer to kickstart your ranked climb for the season.

Brand New Day
We’re only days away from the new season, and 30th June will indeed be a Brand New Day for Marvel SNAP.
The potential to mix it up a little is great, and that’s what each season should do.
The Beach Party season has been a bit stilted, to be honest. So something different, and of course Spider-Man themed is likely to be a bit more interesting.
