The Digiverse is acting up again in Two Point Museum. Someone spilled coffee on an arcade machine, causing a temporal distortion that has opened rifts to other worlds.
Two Point Studios has just dropped Update 8.0 for Two Point Museum, and it is a massive crossover event with Rovio’s Angry Birds, alongside a healthy dose of spring-themed content.
Time we dug in for a quick look, don’t you think?
This update is live now across PC, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. It introduces new mechanics, a fresh crime guild, and the long-awaited arrival of outdoor toilets.
Here are the details!
The Angryverse Rift
A crack in the fabric of the Digiverse has revealed the Angryverse. Unfortunately, the Bad Piggies have used this rift to launch missions across Two Point County to infiltrate museums and steal gold and eggs.
To combat this, you will need to send your Digital Experts to three new Points of Interest: Cobalt Plateaus, Bamboo Forest, and Pig City.
These locations offer nine new exhibits, including a first for the series: free-roaming bird wildlife. Red, Chuck, and Bomb can be placed in your museum to roam the halls. Beyond exciting the guests, these birds serve a functional purpose by dazing and revealing criminals, making them easy targets for your security guards. You will need the help, as the Bad Piggies guild will actively target your donation stands and egg displays.
Such a perfect cross-over for Two Point Museum, that frankly, we never saw coming!

Spring Seasonal Event
It is not all conflict and egg-theft, though. The Easter Isles have manifested in the Scorched Earth map, bringing two chocolate-themed POIs: Coacoapelago and Bon Bon Boondox. Exploring these areas unlocks new botanical discoveries and a new visitor type known as Egg Hunters.
The update adds a variety of seasonal decor, including chocolate cake kiosks and spring-themed customization options for walls and floors. A new toggle in the settings menu allows you to switch between seasonal events at will, and any decorations you unlock are yours to keep permanently.
We still have our Christmas-themed decor up in some of our museums. The quality of this additional stuff into Two Point Museum is always excellent!

Curator Rewards and Quality of Life
For those who have reached the higher tiers of management, Update 8.0 introduces new Curator Class rewards for levels 9 through 15.
These include high-tech security archways and self-service kiosks for tickets and gift shops, which help free up your assistants for other tasks.
The community feedback loop has also resulted in the addition of outdoor-specific items. You can now build proper picnic areas complete with vending machines and the highly requested outdoor toilets.
Additionally, a new POI called Briny Bay has been added to the Farflung Isles, offering a new marine life exhibit for your collection.

Sandbox and UI Overhaul
Two Point Museum Sandbox mode is getting more granular control. You can now choose to unveil the entire expedition map from the start or set survey levels to maximum immediately to find pristine exhibits without the grind.
Navigating your inventory should also be smoother. New item icons make it clear which DLC or seasonal event a piece of furniture belongs to, and new filters in the inventory menu allow you to sort exhibits and interactive displays by theme.
It is a solid set of improvements that makes managing the chaos of a bird-infested, chocolate-filled museum much more manageable.

Two Point Museum
Oh man, Two Point Museum is so good. The game was one of the runners up in our Game of the Year coverage on the old site. It’s consitently excellent.
Two Point Studios keep filling it with more and more cool stuff, and taking on community feedback to improve the game regularly. If you’ve been Two Point curious, now is definitely the time to jump in.
We’ll be playing it forever more because the fun never really stops. Now with a couple of DLC’s under its belt, several rifts and crossovers, and all the seasonal events. Two Point Museum feel unstoppable.
