The spooky season has officially taken over Marvel Snap. Second Dinner’s October 2026 update pits bloodsuckers directly against the brain-eaters in a full-blown Vampires vs. Zombies seasonal clash.
Complete with fresh game mechanics, undead card releases, limited-time events, and exclusive cosmetics, here is everything dropping across the ladder this month.
Last year saw lots of leaning into the zombie cards and mechanics. This year you have vampires, quite literally draining life from opponents, too.
It’s going to be interesting to see how that balances out. Especially as zombies are a known entity at this point, mechanically speaking. October 2026 definitely has the potential to do one-up on last year.
New Mechanic: The Horde Amplified
This October 2026 season puts heavy emphasis on the Horde mechanic, charging up power pools to scale board presence over time.
Cards like Zombie Blade, Zombie Venom, and Zombie Nova feed straight into the Horde value upon play or at turn end, while new locations grant compounding bonuses based on how much you feed the undead swarm.
October 2026 Card Additions
Six new additions arrive throughout October 2026 across Season Passes, Seasonal SNAP Packs, and event rewards.
Vampire Killmonger serves as the flagship card available immediately through the October Premium Season Pass, featuring seasonal artwork by Joshua Raphael. Zombie Blade joins on the Super Premium tier to deliver end-of-turn Horde scaling.
Later in the month, Vampire Enchantress enters Series 5 as a 6-Cost, 7-Power addition arriving via Seasonal SNAP Packs.
Players can also earn Zombie Nova, a 2-Cost, 0-Power card available through the limited-time Event Pass track.
Finishing out the character additions are Zombie Black Cat—a 3-Cost, 5-Power menace clawing into Series 5—and Zombie Venom, whose On Reveal capability converts destroyed units into direct Horde points.

New Locations
Two new battlegrounds enter rotation to reshape match strategies. Premiering mid-month, Undead Metropolis grants Horde +1 after any card is played there.
Later in the month, Crimson Citadel challenges players to hold position by letting their next play steal 2 Power from a random enemy card.

Limited-Time Events and Modes
Deadpool’s Diner reopens toward the end of the month with high-stakes wagering, a revamped menu, and a brand-new Gold Premium Event Pass loaded with dedicated track rewards.
Players can also gear up for a full calendar of mini-events, including Draft XP Sprint, multiple Hyper Cube Rush sessions, Grand Arena XP Sprint, Team Clash XP Sprint, and a season-ending Cube Collection run.

Albums, Takeovers, and Twitch Drops
Collector albums feature heavily this season with thematic variant collections.
The Shadowborn album, titled “Fangs for the Memories,” includes variants for Venom, Carnage, Ebony Maw, and Onslaught, awarding the Love Bug emote, 4,000 Tokens, and a Mysterio variant upon completion.
The Fireball album, “Eat, Prey, Love,” features Doctor Octopus, Electro, Zombie Sentry, and The Hunger, paying out the Philosophysaurus emote, 4,000 Tokens, and a Colonel America variant.
Broadcast viewers can also claim rewards through Twitch Drops throughout October. 2026 Tuning into streams during the early part of the month awards Draft Tickets and Respawn Tokens, while viewing during the second wave nets Boosters, a Premium Mystery Border, and a Premium Mystery Variant.

October 2026
It’s another spooky-themed October season, which is cool. Vampires have got my interest piqued, too.
I’ve been having a bit of fun with zombies recently, thanks to the free deck filling in a couple of blanks for me. I love a nice new archetype to play.
No doubt it’ll be interesting, and it’s always nice to encounter different cards and decks in the first few days of a nice new season. Then we’ll see how the meta pans-out. What card will become the most annoying? only time will tell.
