The Daredevil: Crimson Twilight season arrives next in Marvel Snap, bringing a gritty wave of Shadowlands-themed cards to the meta.
From powerful street-level allies to lethal Hand assassins, this season focuses on strategic board control and rewarding high-power draws.
Instead of adding a new type of ability, Crimson Twilight is keeping things a bit more classic, but adding some interesting new cards.
Here’s a breakdown of the new characters joining the fray this month.
The Defenders and Allies
Shadowlands Daredevil

Stats: 2-Cost, 3-Power
The Man Without Fear takes on a darker mantle with Crimson Twilight. Upon being revealed, he shuffles 3 Demons into your deck. Furthermore, he rewards heavy-hitters: every time you draw a card with 6 or more Power, Shadowlands Daredevil gains +2 Power.
He is a natural fit for “Big House” decks that rely on high-stature cards.
This is a personal favourite change to Daredevil. I’ve always felt one of the best heroes in the Marvel Universe deserved a better ability. It’s nice to see an alternative.
Karen Page
Stats: 4-Cost, 5-Power
Karen provides essential support to your low-cost units. Her On Reveal ability grants a +2 Power boost to a friendly 1-Cost, 2-Cost, and 3-Cost character. To maximize her value, you’ll want to ensure you have a diverse curve of units already on the board before she drops on Turn 4.
A great fit in my Debrii or Squirrel Girl decks! Some great combos to come from Karen. Karen is going to be a great addition from Crimson Twilight.
Stick

Stats: 4-Cost, 3-Power
The martial arts master prepares your next move. His On Reveal ability gives the very next card you play Power equal to his own.
While his base power is modest, Stick can be devastating when buffed by other cards before he is played, effectively doubling the value of those buffs onto a future powerhouse.
This will require a bit of practice and deck research, but Stick feels like a potential strong contender in Crimson Twilight.
Enforcers and Masterminds
Wilson Fisk
Stats: 5-Cost, 9-Power
The Kingpin of Crime thrives on dominance. While he is normally a 5-Cost card, his cost is reduced to 3 if you currently have the highest Power card in play.
This makes him a massive “tempo” swing, allowing you to drop 9 Power for a fraction of the cost if you are already winning a lane.
Another interesting one here. I like using the normal Kingpin card as a lane defender. I wonder if Crimson Twilight will give us a chance to capitalise from both cards in a deck?
Punisher War Machine
Stats: 2-Cost, 2-Power
This card introduces a unique Objective mechanic. When you draw Punisher War Machine, he marks one of your empty locations.
If you successfully win that location, you gain +1 Max Energy for the rest of the game. It’s a high-risk, high-reward mini-game that can accelerate your late-game plays.
This one will remain to be seen. I love the normal War Machine, and Punisher regularly gets play. This feels more intricate, and likely more beneficial when you pull it off. Is it worth the effort for consistent wins?
The Lethal Shadows
Muse

Stats: 3-Cost, 3-Power
A dream for “Destroy” archetypes, Muse features an Ongoing ability that grants +3 Power for every location where one of your cards has been destroyed.
If you’ve been thinning out your board across all three lanes, Muse can quickly grow into a double-digit threat for just 3 Energy.
Between Muse and Weapon X, I can see my destroy deck getting mixed-up for Crimson Twilight! A consistently used deck type across the board. Muse could shake it up a little.
Lady Bullseye
Stats: 2-Cost, 2-Power
Lady Bullseye is the queen of efficiency. When played, she afflicts an enemy card with -2 Power. What makes her truly dangerous is her scaling: she repeats this effect on a different enemy for each point of unspent Energy you have.
She is a perfect turn-6 dump card for decks that find themselves with leftover resources.
Used with someone like Wiccan, Lady Bullseye could become a meta pick in Crimson Twilight, for sure.
Ikari

Stats: 4-Cost, 7-Power
Ikari is a specialized finisher for Affliction or Hazmat decks. He boasts a high 7-Power stat line for his cost, but there’s a catch: you can only play him at a location where an enemy card is already afflicted with negative Power.
Pair him with Lady Bullseye or Scorpion to ensure he has a landing spot.
I don’t have a proper affliction deck, but this would certainly make me consider making the effort. Crimson Twilight could turn my whole play-style on it’s head!
Meta Changes
Beyond the new roster, the April 30th OTA update has introduced a fundamental shift in how the game handles ability triggers. The developers have officially transitioned the keywords Double and Happen Twice to a unified “Repeat” mechanic.
This change has significant implications for icons like Odin and Wong. By moving these effects to a linear scale rather than an exponential one, the game prevents the massive infinite power loops that previously stalled matches.
The technical cleanup ensures a smoother experience while maintaining the core identity of On Reveal archetypes.
It needed to be done, but when you got everything setup to repeat and repeat and repeat, it was incredibly satisfying. Albeit an absolute nightmare when it was done to you.
Shifting Strategies
With the arrival of this season’s cast, the competitive landscape is pivoting away from “Greedy” decks that aim for astronomical numbers. Instead, players are moving toward tactical, surgical strikes:
- Disruption: Lady Bullseye provides a massive counter to large hands and tall boards by spreading negative Power based on unspent energy.
- Precision Buffs: Stick allows you to strategically transfer buffs from cards like Maverick or Forge directly onto a late-game finisher.
- Resource Management: Punisher War Machine introduces a new layer of location-based objectives that can provide a decisive Energy advantage.

Crimson Twilight
Any chance for a Daredevil-themed season is a good time to get stuck-in. Mixing-up the meta and changing some mechanical elements is going to make people change decks and tactics.
That’s the kind of thing that keeps it fresh. So long as it doesn’t come as a detriment to the fun. That will of course, remain to be seen. But change is good in principle.
Being forced to use those cards that never get played is something I always welcome. I hate having cards that I never use. Sometimes finding utility and mixing it up is the best bit.
Crimson Twilight doesn’t seem like it’s going to make massive strides in any directions. Just small tweaks, changes and additions. Let’s see how it plays-out!
