Fractured Frontier – Marvel SNAP new season inbound

Fractured Frontier

Second Dinner is saddling up for a wild ride across the multiverse. The latest MARVEL SNAP season, titled Fractured Frontier, transports players to the dusty, gunslinging wasteland of Earth-383.

Bringing a brand-new mechanic, fresh cards, mini-events, and login rewards, this season looks to completely shake up the meta. Fractured Frontier is an interesting one, for sure.

New Mechanic: Quickdraw

The headline addition Fractured Frontier, is Quickdraw. A keyword built around drawing the right card at the exact right time.

Quickdraw Definition: These effects are active the first turn you draw them (or on the following turn if cards have already begun revealing).

Quickdraw forces players to react dynamically to top-decks rather than relying solely on pre-planned curved plays.

Season Pass & New Character Additions

This month’s lineup brings Earth-383 variants alongside brand-new card abilities designed to synergise with the Quickdraw mechanic:

Thanos (Fractured Frontier) (Series 5 – Premium Pass)

Game Start: Load an Infinity Shot. Your cards gain Quickdraw: Thanos loads again.

On Reveal: Fire all loaded Shots. (Shots include Space, Mind, Reality, Power, Time, and Soul Shots offering boosts, card draws, cost reduction, and destruction).

Jane Foster (Fractured Frontier) (Series 5 – Super Premium Pass)

On Reveal: Judge 4 other random characters (+1 Power if yours, -1 Power if enemies).

Quickdraw: Judge the worthy again.

Psylocke (Fractured Frontier) (Series 5)

On Reveal: Give 5-Cost or higher cards in hand -1 Cost.

Quickdraw: Reduces the cost of your entire hand instead.

Red Wolf (Fractured Frontier) (Series 5)

On Reveal: +1 Power for each card in your hand.

Quickdraw: Give your entire hand +1 Power.

Death (Fractured Frontier) (Series 5)

On Reveal: Resurrect all your destroyed characters to random locations.

Red Hulk (Fractured Frontier) (Series 5)

On Reveal: -1 Power for each enemy card at this location.

Quickdraw: +1 Power instead.

Doctor Octopus (Fractured Frontier) (Series 4 – Event)

On Reveal: Put your leftmost card on top of your deck to draw a random character; give both +3 Power.

Hellcow (Fractured Frontier) (Series 4 – Event)

End of Turn: Afflict all other cards here with -1 Power, then destroy your cards here with 0 or less Power.

Fractured Frontier

The concept is interesting, and I’m not familiar with any old-west version of the Marvel Universe. So this is pretty cool.

The new mechanic is going to shift things a lot, which will be a welcome change. New decks, new approaches. It’s all in the name of mixing things up and keeping things fresh.

It seems to me that Second Dinner are trying to keep players and bring back old players, too. With decks being given out and login rewards, it’s a great time to get stuck-in.

I’ve been meaning to build-out a Zombie deck for ages, but working on collecting enough Zombie cards to make it happen, has taken a while. So this might fix the issue for me!

Fractured Frontier is due in a couple of days. Let’s see how we go.
