Two Point Museum was one of the best games released last year, without a doubt. With a regular feed of updates, DLCs and more improvements than you can shake a stick at. It’s been a heck of a journey that’s not finished yet, with the newly announced Rides and Relics expansion.
Shifting focus towards vintage heritage fairgrounds, classic mechanical novelties, and custom high-octane engineering, this fourth major DLC package brings a massive dose of traditional amusement park nostalgia to the management sim. Following on from previous expansions like Zooseum and Arty-Facts, the team took direct inspiration from traditional European and British fairground museums to create Rides and Relics. A pack that seamlessly integrates vintage thrill rides into your cultural institutions.
Theme Park, anyone?
Custom Coasters and Managing Fairground Mechanics
The main headline feature of Rides and Relics is the introduction of custom-built mini coasters. Curators are given full operational control through a new coaster creation tool, allowing you to manually adjust individual track supports, track height, tilt, and camber across five distinct coaster themes.
You can build gentle transport links like the Monobeast Monorail or construct steel coasters packed with inversions and loops that weave straight through your exhibit halls and courtyard gardens.
To maintain these mechanical beasts, players can hire a brand-new expert staff type in the form of Funfair Experts. Dispatched on expeditions to the abandoned Gearbox Fairgrounds, these specialists uncover antique blueprints, fresh perks, and over fifteen new fairground exhibits.
From vintage carousels to haunted attractions, these rides carry unique traits, such as the Carousel boosting guest interest in wildlife exhibits. Allowing outdoor fairground zones to complement your existing museum collections. Hence Rides and Relics.

Riquetti Gardens Brings the Largest Museum Footprint Yet
The centrepiece level for the campaign is Riquetti Gardens, an expansive venue that stands as the largest museum location in Two Point Museum to date.
Spanning over 45,000 square metres across six massive plots, the map provides plenty of room to build elaborate outdoor fairgrounds alongside grand exhibition galleries.
Curators will tackle a complete five-star story campaign that unlocks early in your museum career after finishing Act 1 of Memento Mile.
For those who prefer immediate creative freedom, all Rides and Relics features, rides, and tools will be available in sandbox mode from the moment you boot up the game. To handle the massive crowds drawn by these new attractions, new utility items such as ticket desks, helipads, and staff mascot costumes will keep queueing guests thoroughly entertained.

Free Update 12.0
Alongside the paid DLC, Two Point Studios is releasing Update 12.0 for all base game players. The patch brings a substantial free taster package, giving everyone access to the first act of the Riquetti Gardens campaign and the initial five points of interest on the new expedition map. Any items, experts, or mechanics unlocked during this free portion remain permanently saved in your game.
Update 12.0 also addresses popular community requests for enhanced outdoor customisation. All players will receive a suite of new landscaping options, including dedicated external walls in the foundations menu, decorative hedges, fences, planter items, and ten collectible mascots designed to boost guest engagement across various museum themes.

It’s looking excellent, and honestly, the Theme Park parallels are clear to see and no doubt going to be reflected upon, a lot in the review cycle. Heck, it looks like it could be a full new game if Two Point Studios decided to, and we’d be all for it.
It looks to me like Two Point Museum it putting itself back on the map in a big way with Rides and Relics. This is a pretty exciting one!
